Welcome to West Blakely's Electric Avenue

Thank you for participating in RePower Bainbridge and our Electric Avenue project.
Electric Avenue is a visual way to build energy-use awareness and share the collective energy savings of the West Blakely community. Electric Avenue will be updated weekly — between June and September 2011 — to highlight the average energy use of participating homeowners. Daily average energy use of participants will be tracked on Electric Avenue — located on Beck Road — and compared to 100 similar households on Bainbridge Island. Additional comparison lines may be added as the project proceeds.
The artwork is created with biodegradable paint and maintained by local artist, Tina Frei, members of Bainbridge Island Boys & Girls Club, and Positive Energy. We hope the collaboration of the Blakely community and local youth artists will engage Islanders, making them more aware of their energy use and more energy efficient.
RePower Bainbridge provides participants with FREE Home Energy Check-Ups, comprehensive home energy assessments, financing options and cash-back incentives for qualifying energy-efficiency improvements. For a list of qualifying improvements and access to RePower trade allies who will help you upgrade your home, please visit our incentive page.
Electric Avenue is inspired and supported by The Tidy Street Project which began in Brighton, England. For more information on the project, visit tidystreet.org.
